Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) Training

The CCNA course teaches skills in installing, configuring, implementing, maintaining, and troubleshooting routed and switched mid-sized networks as well as implementing remote connections in a wide area network. Students will learn about dedicated connection to multiple sites using Frame-Relay and PPP, configuring routing protocol between sites, install and implement wide-area enterprise networks to ensure proper communication between remote sites and provide secured internet connection to users.

After completing this course, students will be able to:
  • Know how networks function, network components and their functions, and the OSI reference model
  • Identify binary, decimal, and hexadecimal numbering
  • Learn the switching operations and theory
  • Know the host-to-Host packet delivery process
  • Perform TCP/IP network addressing, routing, and IP subnetting
  • Provide Local Area (LAN), Wide Area (WAN), and remote access services
  • Know the advanced network theory, including Virtual Private Networks (VPN), Content Delivery Networks (CDN), Intranets, extranets, and wireless networking
  • Familiarize Cisco Internet Operating System (IOS)
  • Perform initial configuration of Cisco Catalyst Switches and Routers
  • Perform network discovery and management using Cisco Discovery Protocol (CDP), telnet, and Trivial FTP
  • Interconnect networks using TCP/IP
  • Understand the dangers of redundant switching
  • Learn about spanning Tree and the concepts of VLANs and trunking
  • Link state routing
  • Configure and troubleshoot a switch and router in a small network environment
  • Expand the switched network from a small to medium network environment
  • Implement VLSM
  • Configure, verify, and troubleshoot OSPF
  • Configure, verify, and troubleshoot EIGRP
  • Determine when to use access control lists (ACLs)
  • Configure, verify, and troubleshoot ACLs
  • Configure NAT and PAT and IPv6 addressing
  • Configure PPP, CHAP, and PAP
  • Understand Frame Relay operation and VPN solutions
