Oracle Solaris 10 System Administrator - Part 2 (OCSA) Training

The Oracle Solaris 10 System Administrator Part 2 course provides students with the skills necessary to administer Sun systems running Solaris 10 in a network environment. Learners will gain the knowledge necessary to maintain, configure and troubleshoot the Network File System (NFS); Setup custom Jumpstart environment; configure the Network Information Service (NIS) environment and manage Solaris Zones.

After completing this course, students will be able to:
  • Troubleshoot various NFS errors
  • Manage Virtual File Systems and core dumps
  • Analyze and manipulate storage volumes(logical volumes, soft partitions, state databases, hot spares, and hot spare pools)
  • Create the state database, build a mirror, and unmirror the root file system
  • Configure naming service clients (DNS, NIS, NIS+, and LDAP) ,DNS client during installation
  • Set up and manage LDAP client after installation
  • Establish jumpstart software alternatives and live upgradation
  • Manage Solaris Zones including zone types, daemons, networking etc
  • Create and manipulate the flash archive and use it for installation
  • Install PXE installation scenario after identifying requirements and install methods
  • Install and Configure DHCP server and boot the x86 client
  • Configure a WAN Boot installation and perform a live upgrade Installation
